| | So I thought I would try doing this again... Run today was slow but solid. Did the double dip loop and decided I really like it. abs and hips.
| |
| | Distance run up suncrest today. My quads were pretty sore but the run felt good. Abs:)
| Race: |
(1 Miles) 00:05:29 | | felt a little nervous before racing today but I ended up having a way good race. I didn't think I would be racing the mile much this season but it's kind of been fun to race it and drop so much time since the mile didn't work out very well last track season with my knees. I also raced the 4x800 which was good but I know I can go a lot faster than what I did. I warmed up a mile before racing the mile, raced the mile, cooled down a mile. Warmed up again just .5 for the 4x800, raced that then cooled down .25 because I was over mileage. I really need to work on doing my abs and hips on race days because that definetley didn't happen today. whoops

| | When I woke up this morning I was planning on a nice bike ride with Gan. little did I know that it would involve biking straight into a tree, gan getting a flat tire, and then me feeling like I was going to die of hypothermia. Shoutout to watson for rescuing us twice! With everything that happened I have no idea how far we went or what our pace was. it was pretty interesting.....
| | I love running in the rain! Today was a way good puddle day so shoutout to the girls for not killing me after I got them soaking wet :) The pace was perfect and I didn't feel sore at all. abs and hips.
| | First day back from China and man was I happy to see everyone again! Ran with the squad to the cemetery did a mile on the grass, then ran back. It felt soooo good to be running with everyone again and the pace felt good to. Abs and hips
| | 1.5mi wu to falcon gorge today and then did a ladder hill workout. 100 200 300 400 in between 5:58 and 6:46 mile pace. I averaged at about a 6:10 which I was happy about. Jamie only had me do one set since I'm still getting back into it and my mileage is only at 3 this week. overall felt pretty good. Finished with abs, hips, and even did some push ups. It's so nice being back with the team.
| |
| | Passed the 2:30 plank test then headed out on old country road for recovery. Ran with lots of the girls and Kaylee! it was okay but I just felt really tired for some reason. I haven't been the best at hydrating this week so i definitely need to work on that and I think I may still have some jet lag from China. Hopefully I'll be feeling a little more energized tomorrow. Abs and hips
| | late start practice today, thankfully it wasn't too hot but man was it windy. It was easy pace run but it was my nests turn for a half cross train day so I ran 2mi total then did weights and biked with Rachel what a pal for 20min. Abs and unfortunately I never got to my hips :(
| | mile wu to the cemetery then started the first steady state run of the season. Started out the first mile and felt really calm and confident. Our pace was 6:20-7:20 and for the first mile we ended up hitting a 6:53 which was good. mile 2 it got harder and mile 3 i had to surge a lot to stay on pace but I ended with a 7:05 ap and I'm way happy with that! Stretched a little because I'm feeling way sore from yesterday then abs, hips, and push-ups.
| | wu and then the kicker. It was my first time running it this season and my goal was to beat Watsons time. Unfortunately I started out way to fast. I felt great till the top of the last hill and I just hit a wall. Shoutout to Brynlee though who pushed me to keep running even when I was completely dead. My time wasn't even close to beating Watson but I'm happy with my effort and I think with it being my first time of the season that's what matters most. Abs, hips, and push-ups.
| |
| | Recovery run today and man my legs were tired. Took it pretty slow. Did weights 3 then abs, hips, and push-ups. super proud of myself for sticking to my push-up goal because for once in my life I don't hate push-ups. I also started doing my hips with a resistance band this week and that's been good.
| | wu to the cemetery and I got a little worried for easy pace because my legs felt completely dead and it was only the wu. we did a grass mile, I wasn't really watching the pace I was just doing what felt good and when we finished I looked down and we had ran a 6:49! It did not feel like we were going that fast so that was a win. Played a game and then I finished up mileage with Hannah. my legs were still tired but easy pace was actually pretty easy today. Abs, hips, and push-ups :)
| | mile wu then another easy pace run but today was medium mileage instead of low. I felt way good on the wu so I had no doubt in my mind that the rest of the run was going to be great! Except it wasn't at all, first 2 miles I was just hanging on to the the rest of the group to stay on pace and when I had to run back by myself it got really rough. My mental game definitely wasn't there today. First 2 miles were on pace 3rd mile I fell off a little bit and then last mile I got back on. This may sound super weird but one of the things that helped me the most to get back on pace that last mile was visualizing some of the girls all running next to me and I just imagined sticking with them and it really helped me relax and focus on something besides how tired I was. Anyways I got back did weights 4, abs, and hips. Once again I'm very grateful for the push-ups I've been doing because push-up rows weren't nearly as bad as they normally are. Also talked goals with Jamie and I'm pretty pumped for this season!
| |
| | Mile wu then tempo run. The range was 6:03 to 6:50 but I was shooting for around 6:35. First mile was 6:35 which was perfect. Second mile didn't go as well. I panicked fell off of the pack and ended up with a 6:44 and then last .5 I was just trying to finish. Not what I wanted, not super great but that just means plenty of room for improvement. Did Abs and hips with some quality people then push-ups at home.
| |
| | Met up with Rachel, Carolyn, and Hannah for the wo today. Mile wu then started our picks up. We did 90 on 90 off x10 at about 6:35 ap. It was a lot harder than I thought it would be but it felt good. Abs, hips, and push-ups
| | nice little bike ride to pg today on the mct to see the biggest flag in America be unfurled. ap 3:45. Happy Fourth of July!
| | Met up with gan to do an easy pace run. I don't know why but my calves killed today and I was not feeling good at all. We were behind pace on our way out but thanks to fans motivation and a slight downhill on the way back we got back on and averaged 7:30.
| | Went on an adventure with Hannah today and finally biked the whole mct. My legs were sore at the beginning but after a couple miles they loosened up and it was a good time. Total ride was 22 mi.
| | Steady state run today! I was going to run tonight but after looking at the weather and realizing it was cooler at 8:30 this morning than it was going to be at 10:00 tonight I decided to just get it over with. Wu a mile and didn't feel very great, I wasn't sure if I was going to be able to stay on pace or not but I started anyways and it didn't turn out half bad. negative split all my miles except for the last .5 I did a total of 3.5mi at steady state pace ap 7:05. Cd the rest of my miles, abs, hips, and push-ups. I'm actually way happy with how today turned out because every other wo this week has been garbage for me. :)
| | Did a sick trail run up at camp today. Split the side of my shoes open though :/
| | Didn't run today because my calves still killed. Got some new shoes though so hopefully they'll start feeling better soon
| | mile wu then the kicker. Kicker was complete garbage. I totally gave up and let people pass me when I know I should've tried to go with them. Abs, hips, and push-ups.
| | Nice recovery run today. My left shin and calf hurt really bad first mile and I almost turned around and was going to cross train the rest but I'm glad didn't because by the end I was feeling really good! The new shoes are definitely helping. Weights 3 with Rachel what a pal. Abs, hips, and push-ups
| | Wu 1.5 to skyridge to do the 6 min test. I really like this wo and that helped with my positivity today. It felt way good to go that fast again and I feel pretty good with how far I got but I think in general with the workouts this week I need to believe in myself a lot more than I have been. Abs, hips, push-ups.
| | Solid recovery day with 2mi grass run. Weights 3, Abs, hips, and push-ups.
| | Today's workout was way way way good! Mile wu then 4mi steady state run. My pace range was 6:40-6:57 and I avg 6:46 thanks to Brynlee and Collin so shout out to them! All my workouts have been eh this week and so my goal for the day was to be positive and fight to have a good workout and I did! Hooray! Abs, hips, and push-ups :)
| |
| | Did a big loop in highland and alpine and 7 miles never felt so good! Abs, hips, push-ups.
| | Mile wu then cross country ladders at the cemetery. 200 400 800 1600 then back down at goal 5k pace. Hit 6:10 for all but the mile which was 6:15 not what we were shooting for but still not horrible. Overall it was a solid workout. Also had an incredible race with Watson for the last 200m I barely caught her at the end but that was a good time so shoutout to her. Mileage was low today but definitely went over a little bit. Abs, hips and push-ups :)
| |
| | did a mile wu then the kicker and it went SO good! Once again I was sick of giving up and not believing in myself when I did the kicker so this time beforehand I was pumping tons of positive thoughts through my head, I got good sleep, I visualized, and I came to practice ready to run my hardest because giving up was not an option today. And man did it pay off, pretty sure I pr'd by 10 secs and it felt so much better then last time. Got a 10:09 which isn't amazing but its definitely a step towards going sub 10:00 next time. Abs and hips :)
| |
| | Medium recovery. Ran with the girls and Sami for a little bit so that was fun. Did a mile of grass running for part of it I was supposed to do 2 but my lower mileage prohibited me from doing so. Pace was a little faster than I would've liked but it was good
| | Speed wo are so hard when you're out of town smh. I'm currently visiting Lake Powell and so for the mile repeats I ran through town and found a nice little elementary field to do it at, but while doing drills I found a tarantula crawling way to close to my foot and decided that I would be running on the road instead. I did a loop around the elementary instead and there was a hill I had to run up for part of it which made staying on pace difficult but the effort was definitely there. I negative split each mile which I'm happy with. And I did 4 just to be safe bc I didn't know if I was supposed to do 3 or 4 and I would rather do more than less.
| |
| | Recovery was good and felt nice after yesterday but we went to the lake extra early this morning and so I didn't wake up early enough to get all my miles in before we left and I'm actually way disappointed because 3 miles seems so pathetic but thinking on the bright side at 3 is better than 0. #vacationprobs
| |
| | Today was pickups and low mileage. Did 10 pickups at race pace, 60secs on 90secs rest. Felt good today and all of them were on pace if not faster except for the 4th and 5th. Shoutout to Brynlee for killing it! Did abs, hips, and push-ups.
| | solid recovery run with the squad. 8:35 ap then abs, hips, and push-ups
| |
| | First day of awesome week was not so awesome. We did 5x berm repeats but with a 100m jog and 200m sprint added on. The workout itself didn't seem that hard but the heat made it seem impossible. I was feeling good before practice bc I hydrated well but by the 4th one I was feeling so light headed I was going to take an extra but thankfully Jamie saved the day by making it x5 instead of the original x8 and so I powered through one more and survived. So summary of today did not feel strong physically or mentally but thankfully we still got the whole week to work on it. 11min of abs :)
| |
| | So my hip and knee decided to be dumb after the wo yesterday and so I'm taking g the next 2days off running and hopefully whip them back into shape. Did 10min wu on the bikes 2x 10min hill climbs and then a 10min cool down. I still went to pre-region to see the course and cheer. I'm glad I didn't run though cuz after just walking a mile of the course my knee wasn't feeling too hot. Shoutout to the team for being awesome.
| | Nice and easy recovery on the bikes for 45min. My legs feel way better than yesterday so hopefully I can do the workout tomorrow! Did a 5min plank today and I'm feeling pretty good about myself. Couldn't of done it without Watson though so shoutout to her!
| | no pain during the day and so I decided to try the workout. Wu to falcon gorge for mystery whistle hills but by the time I got there my calf was feeling tight and my knee was starting to hurt too so I ran back and did it on tinge bikes. Can I just say HARDEST BIKE WO OF MY LIFE! But it was really good, 20secs on 10secs off x8 then 4min rest then repeat the whole thing twice. I was sweating so bad and my legs were on fire but honestly it felt good to be able to push myself that hard. Abs :)
| | Recovery!!! Did the 2mi loop with Watson, Brynlee, and Jamie which was fun. My knee flared up a little though so I just biked the rest of mileage. Got to see good ol'chuck which was a good time. Abs and hips. I'm praying I'll feel good enough to do the wo tomorrow 🤞
| |
| | last day of awesome week and I got to do the workout! At least part of it. Ladders up airport x3 knee was feeling pretty good so I just kept going until it wasn't t. I got 2 out of the 3 sets done. I wanted to keep going because my knee felt good going up but it was the down hill that hurt so I decided to be grateful I got to do 2 sets and not push it too hard too soon. delicious breakfast then ice bath :)
